MY LAST DAY AT COLLEGE ESSAY IN PDF
A college is an educational institution where students are as happy as a king, as free as air, as fleet as a deer, as light as a cork, as gay as lark. Therefore, life at college is full of love and laughter, joy and jollity, fun and pleasure, mirth and merriment. Woes and worries, sorrows and sufferings, grieve and groans do not touch the college boundary. That is why, one does not want to desert earthly paradise, but the time comes when one has to bid farewell to this heavenly place. The one does not want to desert this earthly same thing happened to me when I completed my college tenure.
Our previous class arranged a farewell party in the honour of our class. On the appointed date, I went to the college at 9-00 a.m. As I entered the main gate of the college, I was lost in the memories of the past. It was the same main gate where I had been be fooled by my seniors. I was walking lost in my thoughts when I met a group of my intimate friends. They had also come to attend the farewell party. Since there was a bit late in the party, we sat down in a grassy plot. It was the month of March. The spring was in full swing. The flower beds were covered with multi-coloured flowers.
Their
sweet fragrance had made the college atmosphere very pleasant. There, we began
to recall the memories of the past, how we were befooled by our seniors, how
the students kept the nick names of their teachers, how we called the proxies,
how we told tit-bits() to one another, how we used to make fun of the other
students. Then we remembered our kind and benign teachers who taught and guided
us at each and every step.
Now it was 11.00 a.m. The farewell ceremony started. The
arrangements had been made in the capacious hall of our college. The college
principal headed the farewell party. During the course of the party, some
students made speeches, some sang songs, and some told tit-bits. All these
things aroused the mixed feelings of joy and sorrows, pain and pleasure in us.
In the last, our principal delivered a scholarly speech. He advised us to work
hard and wished success in our life. After the ceremony terminated, we were
entertained with fruit and sweet meats, cake and biscuits, patties and
pastries.
After that we came out of the hall and went to the cafeteria
to take cold drinks. Again, I was lost in the past, how the cafeteria used to be
the favourite centre of our refreshment, jokes, gossips and petty quarrels, how
we used to sit together, making plans for future, how we had tea and coffee,
cold drinks and snacks together, how we used to sit in the college library and
take advantage of priceless books, how we performed experiments in the
laboratory, how we used to play games and enjoyed study tours.
Now the last bell of the college had rung. I did not want to
desert this place because I had developed an emotional relationship with this
educational institution, which led to proficiency from ignorance me from
deficiency to awareness, from narrow-mindedness to broadmindedness. But time
never stands still, and keeps on changing all the time. It had pushed me out of
the college gate. In a nutshell, I came out of the college, with tears in my
eyes.
