According to a philosopher, "Life without aim is like a word without meaning, a body without soul, a head without brain, a fruit without juice, a boat without oars, a vehicle without wheels, a pair of shoes without heels, a lamp without light, an eye without sight. So it is our aim in life which keeps us active and energetic, feverish and enthusiastic It inspires and urges us to action. It enables us to channelize our abilities and energies in a proper direction. Therefore aim is indispensable for a fruitful and successful life. Life without aim is like a sand-particle which is always at the mercy of wind-storm.
Different people have different aims; for example, some of
them wish to become doctors and engineers, some of them wish to become lawyers
and politicians, some of them wish to become teachers and scholars, others wish
to become singers and actors. Every person chooses his aim according to his own
taste and temperament. Some people go on changing their aims and grow into
nothingness in the last.
So far as I am concerned, I have decided to become a
solider. I have chosen this profession due to the following reasons.
Firstly, I know that the life of a solider is devoted and
dedicated. When he joins an army, he signs the certificate of his death. His
death is for a noble cause. His pay is much smaller than his life. He never
joins an army for name and fame. So is with me. I am a patriot and love my country
from the core of my heart. I know that the mother and the fatherland are far
more glorious than heaven.
Secondly, we know our forefathers had to go through water
and fire to achieve this holy land. During the partition, thousands of people
were massacred. Countless young girls were raped; many innocent children were
murdered before the very eyes of their parents. Their houses, their cattle
their crops, their property- everything was set on fire. Thus, such a country
as has been achieved after a bloody revolution cannot be left undefended.
Thirdly, our worst enemy India is using every fair and foul
means to dismember our beloved country. First, she succeeded in dividing
Pakistan into two arts. Now she wants to see other provinces separated from one
another. For this purpose, she is creating disorder in our country. The war of
1965 and 1971, in Kashmir and small encounters the deteriorating situation we
cannot the boarders show her evil designs. In such circumstances, ignore our
defense. So, I have decided to defend Pakistan by joining our armed forces.
Fourthly, as we know that freedom is a great boon from God.
We also know that slavery is a great curse. Brave nations always prefer death
to slavery. So it is our first and foremost duty to defend our freedom, Doctors
and engineers, politicians and lawyers, the young and the old, saints and sages,
poets and writers, teachers and professors all these people will go on working
and I will go on protecting them.
Lastly, being a Muslim, I believe in Jehad. I know that this
life is temporary and transient. That world is an illusion. Everything is to
perish. Everyone is to die sooner or later, but the life of a martyr who lays
down his life in the name of Allah, is immortal His life will never come to an
end, because according to our Holy book, "Martyrs are alive. Don't think
them to be dead". That is why I have decided to chosen this profession.
I wish to become Major Aziz Bhatti, I wish to become Swar
Hussain. I wish lead an active and energetic life with my aim. I am prepared to
die for my country and Islam.
